< 2007 Chalk Hill Chairman's Sauvignon Blanc Musque
One of eleven different Sauvignon Blanc clones planted on the Chalk Hill Estate, the 2007 Sauvignon Musque exhibited outstanding character from the day of harvest through fermentation and aging. The Musque clone is always an important player in our Estate Sauvignon Blanc, and it is our pleasure to offer this single vineyard, five-barrel lot to our Chairman's Club. Fermented with native yeasts in 40% new French oak, the 2007 Musque was bottled without fining or filtration and went from barrel to bottle in the same day. An experience in tropical fruit, this wine shows concentrated aromas of mango, pineapple, passion fruit and honeydew melon. Its fruit driven palate is richly layered and textured, leaving you craving another sip.
