< 2007 Chairman's Club Chardonnay Clone 76

COMPLETE TASTING NOTES

The 2007 Chalk Hill Chairman's Club Chardonnay , Clone 76, is a single clone bottling grown on a 2/3 acre sub-block of our Oak Hill vineyard. Fermented in 55% new French oak with native yeasts, this wine was aged on its fermenation lees for 15 months and went from barrel to bottle on the same day. Clone 76 is a Dijon clone, and in the best years at Chalk Hill, it shows concentrated stone-fruit and a rich, full palate. This high personality wine boasts a perfume of ripe mango, creme brulee and grilled pineaplle that leads into a lush palate of ripe apricot, baked red apple and caramel.
