Yellow-gold. Wild, pungent bouquet of peach and apricot nectar, smoky herbs, honey and orange marmalade. Coats the palate in lush, creamy pit and tropical fruit flavors, with a refreshingly bitter edge of orange pit lending welcome focus. In spite of the extreme richness and sweetness of its pit fruit compote character, there's surprising energy here as well. The very long finish leaves suave spice and apricot notes in its wake. This fruit was harvested at 39 brix.
